On Thursday April 19, Minds Matter National will be hosting An Evening with Minds Matter, to celebrate 20 years of implemting our mission. To date we have had tremendous success with 100% of our students graduating from high school and attending a four year college or university. Thanks to over 1,300 volunteers, Minds Matter has launched chapters in nine cities around the country: Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Portland and San Francisco. We are currently serving 450+ students, but would love to reach so many more. Your support will help us do just that! In fact, your funds will be matched thanks to Minds Matter’s recent grant award from the Pershing Foundation.

Minds Matter was recently given the opportunity for our students to blog about their high school experiences on the Huffington Post. We’re excited to hear from three seniors, Jada from Boston, David from Cleveland, and Jennifer from New York, as they write about their journey towards college. Read their monthly column online!
Robert J. DeLacy, a beloved high school teacher in Portland, passed away September 4, 2011, after a long illness. His children, two of whom are Minds Matter volunteers, have dedicated a memorial in their parent’s honor. All donations will support Minds Matter.

We’ve come a long way since first opening in 1991, with plenty of changes along the way. We are very proud and excited to announce our newest change: a new website! We will be sharing information about all the wonderful work happening across our growing network of Minds Matter chapters. Thanks to everyone who helped put this site together!
We’re in the middle of moving to a new server and launching our new website — going to be great!
