Ryan M. Bennett, Co-Director of Sophomore Program
Mr. Bennett is in his the fifth year of his career in equity research. He currently works for Barclays Capital (formerly Lehman Brothers) as an associate in the consumer staples group, following large cap household and personal care products manufacturers. His chief responsibility is to advise institutional buy-side clients on their equity holdings. Prior to joining Barclays, he spent a year at Bear Stearns on the transportation research team. Mr. Bennett holds a BA in Economics and History from Dartmouth College. In his spare time, he enjoys biking, squash and watching James Bond films.

Sonia Berlin, Co-Director of Fall Recruitment
Ms. Berlin has worked as a research analyst on the credit proprietary trading desk at Merrill Lynch since June of 2004. Her primary focus in on the retail and homebuilder sectors. Ms. Berlin graduated cum laude from Wellesley College with a BA in Economics and Latin.

Raffaella Ceriello, Co-Director of Writing & Critical Thinking
Ms. Ceriello has been working a Business Analyst at AllianceBerstein since 2006. In her current role, she provides regular updates to senior management on the profitability and productivity of the firm and develops presentations for internal and external use. She joined AllianceBernstein in 2004 as the Private Client Training Coordinator. Prior to joining AllianceBernstein, she worked at McKinsey & Company. Ms. Ceriello earned her MA in International Political Economy & Development from Fordham University and her BA in International Affairs from The George Washington University.

Jill Cohen, Co-Director of Soiree
Ms. Cohen started in a marketing role as an Associate Product Director at Johnson & Johnson in 2009 following her graduation from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Prior to starting her career in marketing, Jill spent 5 years working in public relations for various firms in New York including Dan Klores Communications and Bratskeir & Co. Her involvement in Minds Matter includes 5 years as a mentor and 3 years as Soiree Co-chair, a role she is excited to return to in 2009 after a 2 year hiatus.

Shannon Daly, Co-Director of Test Prep
Ms. Daly has been a CPA for nearly 5 years working in a family tax practice in Westchester, NY. Ms. Daly specializes in tax preparation for airline personnel. In addition to her work as a tax accountant, Ms. Daly runs a private tutoring business. Focusing on SAT and ACT prep, Ms. Daly has become a much sought after resource for students in Westchester. Her experience as a private tutor led her to the test prep program at Minds Matter. Ms. Daly holds a BA from Trinity College and a MS from Pace University.

Andrea G. Finigan, Co-Director of Alumni
Ms. Finigan is a Project Manager at AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company where she specializes in enterprise operations process improvements and co-located function management. She has been recognized as one of AXA Equitable's Rising Stars (2008), an award that identifies emerging female leaders. She holds a BA in Psychology and History from New York University and an MPA from Cornell University.

Phillip Hart, Co-Director of Senior Mentees
Mr. Hart,is a portfolio manager in the U.S. Behavioral Finance Small Cap Equity Group at JPMorgan Asset Management. An employee since 2003, his responsibilities include managing structured small-cap core and small-cap value accounts. Previously, he worked on quantitative research and the daily implementation and maintenance of portfolios for the group. Phillip obtained a B.A. in economics from Cornell University and is a CFA charterholder.

Elizabeth Herr, Co-Director of Writing & Critical Thinking
Ms. Herr is the copy chief at Every Day with Rachael Ray magazine. Prior to this, she was deputy copy chief at OK! magazine and associate editor/copy chief at Jungle Media Group, where she wrote and edited for Jungle and Jungle Law magazines. Ms. Herr holds a BA in Sociology from Brandeis University and an MSJ in Magazine Publishing from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. This is her sixth year of involvement with Minds Matter. Before becoming co-director of the Writing & Critical Thinking Program, Ms. Herr was a mentor for three years. She is very proud not only to have worked with the same student for that entire time but also to have successfully helped her mentee through the college application process, which ultimately saw her gain acceptance to her top choice university.

Bert Ho, Co-Director of Senior Mentees
Mr. Ho has worked for the Department of Commerce's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) as a physical scientist/hydrographer since the fall of 2004. As part of his duties, he has provided rapid response surveys for navigational safety after various man-made and natural disasters, including oil spills and major hurricanes. During regular operations, Mr. Ho acquires, processes, and analyzes bathymetric data for charting, and conducts surveys for a variety of archaeological and biological studies. Mr. Ho holds a BA in Anthropology from the University of Tennessee, and a MA in Anthropology with a focus in Underwater Archaeology from Florida State University. He also holds a USCG captain's license and is a licensed Merchant Marine.

Wan Hong, Co-Director of Summer Placement
Ms. Hong currently works at D. E. Shaw & Co. as a Finance & Operations Associate, with primary responsibilities in analyzing the firm's overall PnL, the firm's foreign management company's accounting matters and financial statements. Prior to this, she was a senior associate in KPMG's financial service group, with focuses in real estate investment funds and foreign development funds. Ms. Hong is a CPA and holds a B.A. in Accounting from University of Washington Foster School of Business.

Aditya Jha, Co-Director of PR & Marketing
Aditya Jha is a Senior Associate with Navika Capital Group, a boutique private equity firm with investments in commercial real estate. Aside from managing the firm's hospitality assets and investments, he also manages investor relations and due diligence projects for the firm. Before joining NCG, Aditya was a relationship manager with HSBC mortgage Corp. He has B.A. from Colby College in International Studies and a certification in Project Management from NYU.

Jill Kaiser, Co-Director of Test Prep
Jill Kaiser has worked at Deloitte for four years and is currently a Manger in their US Strategy Development group, focused on industry and functional strategies and scenario planning. Prior to this, Jill was a Sr. Consultant in Deloitte Consulting's Strategy & Operations practice focused on enterprise cost reduction and shared services consulting. Prior to business school, she spent five years at Accenture working as a process design consultant in their Telecommunications and Media industry group. Ms. Kaiser holds a B.S. in Economics and Business from Cornell University and a Masters in Business Administration from the Johnson School at Cornell University.

Jeff Kauth, Co-Director of Volunteers
Mr. Kauth currently works as an investment analyst for Abbott Capital Management. As an investment analyst, he performs due diligence on potential investment opportunities and monitors existing investments. Prior to joining Abbott, Mr. Kauth worked for Bear Stearns, in the Global Industries Group of their investment banking division. He holds a B.S. in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University.

Mr. Klein recently joined Goldman Sachs as a Vice President in the Equity Strategies group. Prior to his current position, he worked for nearly seven years at the alternative asset management firm AQR Capital. Mr. Klein graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Computer Science from Harvard University.

Mr. Knapp is a Senior Consultant at EMC Consulting, specializing in expense management systems & solutions geared towards clients in the financial services sector. Prior to EMC, Mr. Knapp spent three years with Lehman Brothers as a member of the Global Expense Management group. Mr. Knapp holds a B.S. in Business from SUNY Plattsburgh.

Brendan McLaughlin, Co-Director of Senior Program
Mr. McLaughlin has worked at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch for the past year in Global Client Coverage in a business development role. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. McLaughlin spent 7 years at Citigroup. From 2005 to 2007, he worked in Investor Relations, where he worked closely with senior management of Citigroup to deliver financial communication and company strategy to the investment community. Prior to that, Mr. McLaughlin spent five years in Equity Research, covering the Airfreight & Ground Transportation industries. Mr. McLaughlin holds a B.B.A. in Finance from James Madison University.

Kelly Miller, Co-Director of Alumni
Ms. Miller is a portfolio manager in the Value Team within the U.S. Equity Group at JPMorgan Asset Management. An employee since 2002, Kelly co-manages large cap value and 130/30 value mandates. Previously, Kelly worked as an investment analyst for the U.S. Equity Team and as an analyst on the U.S. Equity Client Portfolio Management Team. She holds a B.S. in business administration from the University of Kansas and is a CFA charterholder.

Irene Ou, Co-Director of Volunteers
Ms. Ou is manager in a strategic group at CBS Corporation. Her group oversees the various divisions within CBS by recommending/implementing strategies. Prior to this, Ms Ou worked at Barclays Capital / Lehman Brothers for four years. In addition, she is active member of the UCONN Alumni NYC Chapter. Ms. Ou holds BA in Economics / Pre Med from the University of Connecticut.

Jessi Petrosino graduated from the NYU Stern School of Business with her MBA in economics and global business in 2008. She has since been working in the Financial Services Office at Ernst & Young LLP as a Communication & Pursuit Strategist. Prior to attending NYU, Jessi completed a BS in design & environmental analysis from Cornell University.

Stephanie Emma Pfeffer is a Senior Associate Editor at Family Circle magazine, where she edits features on parenting, teens and travel, as well as family-friendly entertainment and the celebrity back page. She has also enjoyed stints at Ladies' Home Journal and People magazine. She holds an M.S. in Magazine Publishing from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and a B.A. in English and Mass Communications from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Jack Qian, Co-Director of Summer Placement
Mr. Qian is currently an Associate at New Mountain Capital, a position he has held since joining the private investment firm in 2007. His responsibilities include the underwriting of new investments across a wide range of industry sectors. He previously worked in the Global Technology Group within the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, in Economics and Mathematics from Yale University in 2005.

Christian Reyes, Co-Director of Recruitment and Retention
Mr. Reyes is an associate in the Global Wealth Management Business of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. His role encompasses mainly business analysis and project management focusing on implementing technical and business solutions. He has worked on various projects such as regulatory capital requirements, securities based lending, risk management, operational efficiency and more recently, online banking. Chris received a B.S. in Economics-Finance and graduated summa cum laude from Bentley College in 2007.

James P. Stoner, Co-Director of Sophomore Program
Mr. Stoner is in his third year at Tremblant Capital Group, a long/short equity hedge fund. He is a Vice President in the fund's Middle Office, primarily working in operational roles such as accounting and reporting. Mr. Stoner holds a Business degree from the University of Washington and a Masters in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also on the board for Construction for Change, a recently formed non-profit.
